Hi,

I’m a freelance designer based in the South-West. I’ve worked on a diverse range of projects focusing primarily on wayfinding, strategy and environmental design.

I’m a hard-working and enthusiastic designer that has worked across many sectors including transport, education, and culture. At my heart, I’m a problem-solver and I’ve put this to good use over the years creating a system to reduce hours spent producing wayfinding packs - reducing the time spent formulating schedules leaving more time for design and quality control.

I also have a passion for accessible design and a belief that this should be one of the first considerations when starting a project. I have a particular interest is in neurodiversity and champion accessibility in my work. I’ve worked on many wayfinding projects for train stations and this has allowed me to learn huge amounts about accessible design, so I’m very familiar with building regulations and design guidance.

In 2018 I was fortunate enough to attend a course run by the Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE). Access auditing and the Equality Act which covered the Principles of inclusive design, design guidance and access strategies in public spaces.

Whilst accessible standards and guidance are abundant in the rail industry, it is not often utilised across other sectors. Yet, I feel it only enhances a space and I firmly believe that if accessible users are considered earlier in any project it enhances the end product.

Working for consultancies has also given me the opportunity to work across many disciplines including UI/UX, animation, video editing, 3D modelling and product design. As a result, I’ve learnt to be flexible and pick up skills rapidly. The uniting factor of my experience has always been creating and enhancing brands with a particular focus on presenting data and information.
